2010 Fall ELITE Training

After a another great summer (Lehigh Lax Fest HS Elite Champs, Jersey Shootout 5/6, HS team 8-1 at Champ Camp 3rd Place Finish), it is our pleasure to announce that Team Turnpike ELITE Lacrosse will be running Fall ELITE Training sessions starting Sunday, September 26th through Sunday, October 31st. Sessions will be hosted from 4:30pm until 6:00pm at Van Horne Fields in Montgomery (off of Route 206, behind the Princeton Fitness and Wellness Center parking lot) for players in grades K-12. These sessions are designed to make each participant a more complete player.  Coaches will be focusing on all aspects of the game: individual skills, team concepts, and conditioning. Guaranteed to help take your game to the NEXT LEVEL! All players are welcome. Each participant will receive ELITE treatment!

Coaches:  Team Turnpike Staff Members (which includes Local High School Head and Assistant Coaches, as well as local college players from Princeton and Rutgers Universities)

Age Level:  
Players in Grades K through 12, separated according to grade and ability (K-3 clinic, 4-6, 7/8, and 9-12) All players welcome, there is no prerequisite of having played on a summer team for Team Turnpike in order to attend the Elite Training Sessions.
 
New this year: K-3 clinic.  We’ll have these mini laxers focusing on basic skills (with or with out gear) using only sticks and soft foam lacrosse balls - helmet or pads are optional, Location (better fields, more parking, indoor bathrooms), Additional 15 minutes of game play.
 
Fee:  $175, with an early registration discount for payments received before September 20 ($195 after 9/20)

Schedule:  Sessions will be comprised of 45 minutes of individual skill work (player’s should see at least 150 to 200 touches of the ball); 30-minute Team Clinic (each session will focus on a different aspect of lacrosse, example: Off-Ball Play, Transition, Man-Up/Man-Down, Face-Offs, etc.); the final 15 minutes of each session will be used for speed and agility training.

Skill:  Midfielders, Attackman, Defensemen, and Goalies
Individual Skills to be covered include (but are not limited to): Catching and Throwing Techniques and Drills; Dodging; Shooting Techniques and Drills; On the Run and Off the Dodge Shooting; Time and Room Shooting; Defensive Footwork; Defensive Checks; in addition we will have a Goalie coach to work with goalies.
Elite Training Sessions focus on building each player’s individual skills as well as increasing your knowledge of team play, and conditioning.
